Cape Velikan is a natural landmark, and probably the most impressive place on the Sakhalin coast.
Along the coast from Cape Ptichiy (Birds Cape) to Cape Velikan (Giant), there are many grottoes, caves, arches and pillars of various sizes and bizarre shapes created by wind and sea waves and standing directly into the sea.
