BUSSE LAKE
4
two unique natural phenomena in one place

THE LAKE IS SITUATED BEHIND THE VILLAGE OF OZERSKOE.

It’s unusual, but the reservoir is connected to the Sea of Okhotsk by a channel, so the water is salty. This phenomenon creates favorable conditions for the growth of one of the main inhabitants of the lagoon - the giant Sakhalin oyster. Just imagine that the size of its shell can reach 20 centimeters! Oysters can be seen during low tide, and the lake is also home to a huge number of mussels, crabs, trepangs, sea urchins, scallops, shrimp and many other species of fishes.
